The Mission

Divine Dirt is theology’s tabloid, here to spread the dirt on the divine.

In a time of fierce debate and animosity over which faith or philosophy is “correct” or rightly inspired by divine decree, Divine Dirt has risen from the muddy ashes as a new creature. Indeed, the new Tower of Babel–that ancient symbol of cooperation, determination and ingenuity–won’t be built with bricks but with art and words.

Welcome to the building site, Congregation and Architects.

We believe in free expression done tastefully. The purpose of this publication is to exhibit work that strives to express that which is most difficult and often suppressed. Religion, myth, art…these are hallmarks of human imagination, creativity, and curiosity. And while the argument rages on over theology and art/expression, we’ll be here, chillin’ and merging the three in synergistic harmony.

So whether you’re an apostle or apostate, infidel or indoctrinated, unfaltering in faith or undecided, there is something here for you.

Let’s get dirty.
